Letter Tattoo Designs - How to Choose the Best

As with any other design, planning is important. It is also true in choosing the design of your tattoo. If you have already decided on a letter tattoo, then you are already halfway in getting the tattoo that you want.

The primary consideration in letter tattoos is the location. All other factors such as size and complexity will depend on the location of your tattoo. Let us say for example that you have decided to have your letter tattoo on your back. Size will not be a problem because your back is like a big canvass. If however, you would like to have your letter tattoo on your wrist or on your ankle then your size i limited by the size of your wrist or your ankle or whichever location you would want your tattoo to be.

Although, you can always opt for your tattoo to be of a smaller size even if it is located at the back, another consideration is whether you would want it to be in an area where it will be seen if you're wearing sleeveless clothes or bathing suits. Tattoos are mostly personal but there is a certain satisfaction in having people watch and admire you for a tattoo and a well placed tattoo at that. Sometimes, the location of the tattoo will even serve as an aphrodisiac to some people. There does not seem to be no sense in putting an elaborately designed letter tattoo in an area in your body will only you will know. But then again, I could be wrong. It differs with everyone.

Another thing to consider when selecting a letter tattoo is the font type that will be used. Most letter tattoo
employs the old English design. It does not mean though that you should limit your choices to the old English font. There are varieties of cultures whose alphabet are quite an art, say for example, the Chinese alphabet. In fact, it is easier to choose the design for a letter tattoo because Microsoft Word has a collection of fonts. You only have to try the effect. Modern graphic artists are also creating new fonts which you might like. The web has no shortage of designs with respect to letter fonts.
